According to Palm website, Pro Plus will offer talk time of up to 5. But it is not released video time and audio time. Palm apps have the ability to access and share information with each other, which means they can do more for you. And the third-gen iPhone packs a 3 megapixel camera with video capturing, auto-focus mechanism and editing capabilities.
The earlier two versions shipped with only a 2 megapixel camera each. Both are good multimedia smartphone and support many video and audio formats. But, if you has a AVI file, how to play it with both two smartphone?
I get answer from Google search. Log in or Sign up. FAQ: How do I use the expansion card? Messages: 6, Likes Received: 1 Trophy Points: There are three basic ways to utilize your expansion card to store data and applications: 1. Via the OS: OS4. When you exit the app, any changes you make are saved to the card. A stub app isn't suited to storing apps you use all the time because of the load-time involved to move the app off the card.
Via "virtual access". These apps are really more of a temporary solution: as more VFS-capable apps become available, you'll fall back to method 1, above. You'll need some kind of app to move data back and forth from RAM to the card. McFile or Filez can both do this. Ben S , Nov 27, Messages: 6, Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: I posted this in another forum, and Mr.
The reason is the shorter application load time PDVFS or MSMount provides; it accesses one record or block of records at a time - called, "paging" - instead of having to load the entire app or database all at once into RAM. WAB Poor Guy The copncept about PowerRun is totally wrong!! RE: Poor Guy If you really understand how Powerun works, what posted above is totally nonsense. I used PowerRun since version 0.
I didn't know that you were 'smarter' than the developer of PowerRUN himself. He's the one who gave out those instructions. Also, that was his explanation of how it works. Please enlighten us all including the creator of the program of how PowerRUN actually works.
A open word to all I. Until now the average user had not to stirr in a ancient DOS filing system - he even had not to know there is one around. The whole approach mingling with the stoneage DOS filing system will hit Palm dearly and bckfire with booster! The average user not the techie here around will not give a damn - and is repelled by the fact that Palm OS 4.
It is a misscarriage which will backfire on the market immediately - no matter what tricks you kindly offer at 3rd party! The Palm jetisnoned himself now in stoneage up on the tree - long before the legendaty Newton - no matter what the "techies" here may use as a workaround - the VFS is the biggest mistake since the US election - and the outcome is the same - a stupid is firm on the bridge.
A palm lover RE: Poor Guy Jay's idea is a bad idea:. If you run AG in the way Jay says, yes it works, I won't say it doesn't work. So where is the point by doing what Jay says? Why bother to do this?
You want to be able to run AvantGo, but if you do so, you won't be able to run Zap! So, you install Zap! Then, follow the instructions provided in this article to load k worth of AvantGo channels. Open AvantGo using PowerRun, then close it. Without this solution, you could not have AvantGo on your Palm and still run the other application.
Here's the point. Take in case Documents to Go version 4. It utilizes the external card. Also, apps such as PalmReader, Beiks Dictionary, etc. All of these apps must be moved into internal RAM before it can be used. With this method, three different apps can be on the card and take up 3MB worth of space.
After loading them to the card, select "Expansion Card" from the top right launcher menu. When you pick an app, it will load to RAM and execute. When you quit, it will automatically move the app back to the card. Now, getting the apps there are a hassle, and that's where PowerRun and McFile come in.
If it was up to the Palm software alone, you could never do this with anything using separate databases. All run just like they were in native RAM, except the largest take a couple of seconds to move and execute. As of this writing, I have I'll have to experiment with PowerRun, as I'd like for the apps on the card to show up elsewhere sometimes. Will PowerRun Work with Vindigo.
Will the same method work for this app. I'm running a Clie C. Speed I. Otherwise, sound quality was satisfactory. Speakerphone calls were a bit soft even with the volume cranked to the highest level, so it was difficult to carry on in louder environments. There was also a bit of a hollow tone. We were able to get a 3G signal throughout our testing period here in Manhattan, and the network provided fairly good speeds. Downloading a single track from the Amazon MP3 Store took about 1 minute, and downloading and installing the a free version of Asphalt 5 from the App Catalog took 2 minutes and 26 seconds.
Streaming YouTube videos over 3G took a few seconds to buffer, but once loaded, the clips played without interruption. Of course, for best results, we recommend using a Wi-Fi connection whenever possible. It should also be noted that you can be on a call and have a data connection at the same time, unlike with Verizon.
The Pre Plus has the same 3-megapixel camera as the rest of the Pre family, which is fine by us as it has always impressed us with great picture quality , and the results are no different this time around. Whether we were shooting indoor or outdoors, the images came out sharp and with vibrant color. Video quality was also quite decent, and the editing process couldn't be any simpler. The Palm Pre Plus uses the same processor as the original Pre, but as we mentioned earlier, it has double the RAM so the smartphone felt somewhat snappier.
We noticed there was less lag when transitioning between cards and menu screens, and we had multiple apps running in the background at least a dozen at one point and didn't get a message alerting us to low memory. That said, there were still some delays when launching apps.
