The pacing is excellent. It doles out new abilities, introduces powerful story twists, and concocts exhilarating missions at a steady rate, which means the game never loses steam during the course of the lengthy adventure. The game's length, two or three hours on the outside, is exactly right, letting you take in the whole experience in one session. Killzone 2 is a tremendous package, offering an exciting campaign and terrific competitive online play, neither of which create new paradigms for first-person shooters, but rather set new standards in subtle but significant ways.
Noire is a unique game with a terrific sense of period atmosphere, absorbing investigation mechanics, and a haunting tale with plenty of moments that would be right at home in a classic film noir. Those smoky nights spent listening to jazz at the Blue Room, and the price you paid for them, will stay with you long after you've retired your badge and gun. Even if you're not interested in designing and creating games yourself, LittleBigPlanet 2 is not to be missed. And through this harmony of game design comes the caustic dissonance of a world so torn asunder that a single possibility can bring with it endless hope.
You'll want to see what happens next, yet when its long campaign draws to a close, you'll wish it would continue. Instead, it radiates outward from its predecessor, simultaneously illuminating the world that gave rise to Portal and continuing the adventure that began there. The sense of novelty is diminished, but the thrill of exploration and puzzle-solving is still intoxicating, and it's amazing how Portal 2 manages to tell a better story with disembodied voices and spherical robots than most games can with full-on humans.
Think about great moments that you remember from spaghetti Western movies, put them all into one to hour epic feature, and picture yourself in the starring role.
Now you have some idea of what's waiting for you in Red Dead Redemption. It doesn't have the secrets of Spelunky and it's more predictable than The Binding of Isaac, yet at the end of every game comes a desire to hop right back in, spend your gold on some upgrades and rack up more monster kills, something the game encourages with a challenging new-game-plus option that appears after the credits roll.
Other games still just slipped under the radar; indy gems that appeared on the PlayStation Store before console gamers - new to the world of digital game downloads - really knew what to do with it. This is a tribute to those PS3 games that fell by the wayside and deserve better. Dejected and forgotten, they'll cost you next to nothing, yet deliver memorable experiences that are in some cases among the very best the console has to offer.

It is not the destination that matters Best: Shattered dimensions. Funny writing, pretty good combat, perch points really make you feel like Spider-Man, and the different characters all play differently enough to prevent staleness. Initially I wrote the game off because it isn't open world, but I caved and bought it after it dropped in price and it turned out to be my favorite Spidey game aside from Spider-Man 2. Worst: Didn't play amazing 2, but I found amazing 1 the worst Spider-man game i've played.
Watered down arkham copy combat, camera is way too close to Spider-Man, voice acting wasn't good, and I experienced some glitches that kept me from progressing. Web swinging was a cool concept but felt it could have been better executed.
Now I've enjoyed every spider-man game, so to those who like this game no offense, I had fun with it, just the least amount of fun compared to every other Spider-man game i've played. Mine is Amazing Spider-man 1. Really because it feels like the Arkham series to me. That and its the only one I've played on PS3 : I'll get to the other ones though. Jx 5 years ago 6. Gaming is a weird industry where you can scam the consumers with lies and fake promises, and there will still be fanboys defending it.
Bless you lot I agree with a lot of this stuff. That said whoever said Lego Super Heroes may have a valid point as in terms of having a brilliant world to explore it just feels so much more natural and fun but I consider that a Marvel game rather than a Spidey Game. I see a lot of the views here are directed at the movie games so let's go into those.
Amazing Spider-Man: For me this one is about as good as I expected it to be for an open world Spider-Man game it's fun and rewarding to explore but I do have a few nitpicks namely different stat costumes and that really awkward camera positioning when your webslinging. The game though just doesn't really stand out for me mostly because it's teathered to the movie and it was limited in terms of which characters they could use. Amazing Spider-Man 2: You can tell after the underwhelming response of the first game they wanted to up the stakes by bringing in bigger and better villains only to end up screwing up every single one of them over with a detached lazy mess of an unfocused story.
Here's the thing though I actually like a few of the actors in this game but the story is just horrible. I love the idea of having Carnage as the main villain of a Spider-Man game but this game screws over what his character is all about like nothing. Spider-Man 3: Will always be remembered as the game that started some of the worst trends that would follow in successor games such as high unwanted timed button sequences, an unfocused plots where the villains are a complete mess with no focus.
