One of the defining features of Beautiful Katamari are the level objectives, which require you to roll up specific items while forming your katamari. For example, in the forest level, players are encouraged to focus on rolling up bushes, flowers, and other plants. In the amusement park stage, you'll have to collect hot and spicy objects in order to keep your katamari at the optimal temperature.

These objectives are a bit more specific than previous Katamari games, offering a nice change of pace. Ultimately, a lot of the game feels similar to other Katamari titles , but veterans of the series will appreciate these small changes. Although Beautiful Katamari doesn't introduce tons of new ideas, the gameplay remains enjoyable and there's enough variety to keep things from getting stale.

Whether you're playing solo or with a group of friends, rolling up huge balls of objects will never feel more fun than this. While the single-player mode is a bit short, there are plenty of extra, unlockable modes to keep you coming back for more.
